How Our Arctic Rappelling Experience is Organized

Rappelling can be adapted to various skill and challenge levels, making it a fantastic way to explore nature while challenging yourself both physically and mentally. The activity also fosters trust, teamwork, and a strong sense of achievement among participants.

Join us for an adventure that combines nature, excitement, and the impressive Arctic beauty!

Rappelling is a safe, thrilling, and challenging activity that involves descending from a height using safety equipment attached to solid anchor points at the top of a cliff face. The cliff face rises vertically from the sea, creating a unique and dramatic rappelling experience.

Execution Overview of the Arctic Rappell Route:

Preparation:

  • Participants are equipped with necessary safety gear, including a harness and helmet.

  • The instructor provides a thorough briefing on rappelling techniques, safety procedures, and communication signals.

Inspection:

  • Before the descent begins, the rope, anchor points, and harness are inspected to ensure everything is securely attached and functioning correctly.

Descent:

  • The participant is attached to the descent rope (rappelling rope) and an automatic fall protection system, secured to a safety rope.

  • The participant backs up to the edge of the climbing area and begins to lower themselves down the descent rope. Speed is adjusted by gripping the rope with their hand and regulating friction with a specialized rope brake.

Control:

  • During the descent, participants communicate with the instructor via voice-activated two-way radio to maintain safety and navigation.

Conclusion:

  • Once participants have safely reached the boat, the RIB captain detaches them from the rappelling and safety ropes and notifies the instructor that everything is ready for the next participant.

Delivery Conditions

  • Deliveries are conducted from May 15th to September 15th.

  • The number of participants per group ranges from 6 to 12 people.

Participant Requirements

No prior experience is required to participate in rappelling with us, but it is assumed that you are in normal physical and mental condition. We recommend wearing outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear for comfort and safety.

Although we, as operators, have implemented all necessary safety measures and take safety very seriously, it is important for participants to understand that there will always be an element of risk involved in such activities. To ensure this is understood, we ask all our customers to sign a risk acceptance form. We also recommend that participants have insurance coverage for such activities.
