Are you interested in the arctic seabirds?

Come sail with us out to observe seabirds by the Varangerfjord!   Way up here in the higher latitudes of Norway you will find a rich diversity of birdlife, with numerous, colourful and rare birds, attracting ornithologists from all over the world.

S/Y DET GODE LIV sails out side Ekkeøy or  in the Vadsø Harbour, one of the places in the late winter which has at higher density of Steller’s Eiders, King Eiders, cormorants and Common Eiders than any other place in Varanger. Besides using the sailboat, we may also use a dinghy, stand-up paddleboard or kayaks to get close to the birds.

We serve a delicious local meal onboard once the sailboat yet again is moored.

An alternative trip will be done by car, if weather conditions are bad.

Either: bring with you warm,windproof cloths or rent one of our special designed floating/termosuits, price NOK 190- per person.
